We were in town for the Penn State-Wisconsin game so we didn't have high needs or expectations, but I was impressed and surprised by the overall experience. Starting at check-in and throughout our stay, the front desk staff were efficient, friendly, and professional. The hotel is attractive and the lobby is spacious. Our room was very clean, the bed was comfortable, and the shower pressure was good. I even liked the bath products. Breakfast was sufficient and the coffee was surprisingly good. The breakfast staff worked hard to keep everything stocked and plentiful. All in all, the staff seemed to care about the guests and their experience. I have been a loyal HiltonHonors member, but am thinking about switching to IHG based on this experience.

The shuttle really makes this one of the best hotels to stay at. They will shuttle you, on demand, within a 3 mile radius which gets you to all of the campus and lots of downtown Madison places. They will also pick you up! In addition to the awesome shuttle was the amazing staff. They were the friendliest people and very accommodating of any and all needs. Also the place seemed new and was very clean and had fun decor. And there was even more bonus in that they have 200 channels of cable with many premium channels (HBO, TCM, etc). The BEST hotel we've stayed in in the last couple of years, and we travel about 8 trips a year staying at hotels like this (even other Holiday Inns) and places that are 'nicer' than this (in reputation).

Alex and Shane were wonderful at check in. Took care of us with personal attention to detail. The room was spacious, and the bed was the best of all the places that we stayed along our road trip. It was SO comfortable that I pulled back the sheets to see what it was. I woke up without any aches and pains. The breakfast was free in the lobby and very good. We had dinner off property at a nearby restaurant that was very good. Shane was the shuttle driver that took us there and picked us up. We also drove through a festival of lights just before check in next door. It was free and nice!

This is a great hotel, which is run the way all hotels should be. Parking lot well lit in a good neighborhood, with hiking and biking trails just outside the door. We utilized the free hotel shuttle, which was very convenient way to travel to the capital and downtown shops and restaurants. Staff were all very nice, especially the shuttle driver.

The location is right next to downtown Madison, which is ideal. The parking is free and on the hotel grounds. And the free breakfast was wonderful!! An excellent value!!
